It’s up to you and me

Taking action on the Senate

They’ve done it again.

Late last night, the Liberals and Conservatives teamed up to defend the privileges of their friends and insiders by voting against our motion to stop public funding of the Senate.

That means you and I will continue to foot the bill for bogus expense claims, six figure salaries and the personal entitlements of Liberal and Conservative insiders.

It’s outrageous.

Tom Mulcair and your New Democrat team aren’t backing down. We’ll keep exposing the truth about the Senate and grilling Stephen Harper on the ever-growing list of scandals.

Over 16,000 Canadians have already joined the campaign to abolish the Senate.

But we need your help to keep the pressure on. If you haven’t already, sign the petition right now. Then share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and email.

Spread the word on Twitter. Spread the word on Facebook. Spread the word by email.

Unelected and unaccountable senators represent the parties that appoint them – not the Canadian people.

Time and time again, Stephen Harper has defended the outrageous privileges of his party insiders.

I was disappointed to see Justin Trudeau do the same.

It’s clear the Harper Conservatives and Trudeau Liberals will always choose protecting their friends in the Senate over standing up for Canadians.

So it’s up to you and me to keep up the fight. Help right now by sharing our petition with everyone you know. Spread the word on Facebook, Twitter and email.

This fight marks an important moment in our country’s history. Let’s finally make the Senate a thing of the past.

National Director
