WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

Volunteering With Harcourt House

Since Harcourt House is artist run we are always looking for a hand. Whether its our events, our classes, our exhibition install or day to day gallery assistance we could use your help.
So whats in it for you? Well here is a list of perks we offer our volunteers!

After a volunteer has completed their hours we keep a record of this!
4 hrs of volunteer work and the volunteer can “cash” these in for one free drop-in session.

  • Life Drawing (Mondays, 1-4 pm/ Wednesdays & Fridays, 7-10 pm)
  • Figurative Sculpture (Mondays, 7-10 pm)
  • Long Poses (First Sunday of each month, 1-4 pm)
  • Draw Till You Drop (Sunday Oct. 30th & Nov. 27th)

If the volunteer wants to hold off for a sweeter prize they can complete 10 hrs of volunteer work and receive a free membership!
This grants them 10% off of all classes, workshops, gives them a chance to submit to our annual member’s exhibition, discounts at select locations for art supplies, and much more!

See our membership page for more details.

Voice of the Gallery

Megan Stein, Summer Camps Coordinator and Instructor
Hi! I just recently finished my BFA in Art and Design from the University of Alberta, and am the Artist in Residence for the 2012/2013 term at SNAP (Society of Northern Albertan Print-Artists).

I am very excited about all of the projects we will be doing during the camp, including relief printmaking, silkscreen, mono-printing, watercolour painting, writing and even making soft sculptures!  It is going to be a blast!  We will also be making finger puppets from sculpey then using our imaginations to put on an awesome puppet show, as well as learning about the fun technique of drawn animation!  Not to mention the great line up of field trips we will be taking this year including, The Devonian Gardens, Fort Edmonton Park and The Royal Alberta Museum!
