That’s a wrap on Northern Gateway hearings

Ecojustice Logo One

Over the course of four years, Ecojustice lawyers, scientists and students have logged an incredible 4,000+ hours in an effort to challenge Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline.

As 18 gruelling months of review hearings for the project came to a close yesterday, it all boiled down to one simple question: Can we trust Enbridge to safely build and operate a 1,177-kilometre mega-pipeline?

The answer is no. As outlined on our blog, during the hearings we used our unique legal and scientific expertise to challenge Enbridge’s claims to the contrary.

We are ever grateful for your steadfast support. Thanks for the phone calls, emails, letters and generous donations. Most of all, thank you for taking a stand alongside our lawyers and scientists.

We couldn’t have done any of this important work without you.

While we wait to learn the federal government’s final decision on Northern Gateway, we’re already working on another important case: Protecting B.C.’s wild salmon.

Thanks for standing with us. Onwards!
Devon Page
Executive Director, Ecojustice

P.S. Tweet your support to our lawyers and scientists!
