It happened: Texas conservatives cheated their way to victory and passed the most restrictive ban on reproductive care in the nation last night. It’s disappointing–but it’s not over. Not for a mile. And it’s vital to show the whole country we’re not giving up.
Images of women and men in Texas, from all walks of life and all over the state, wearing orange T-shirts, holding signs, and turning out to speak up have inspired millions across the country facing similar fights. From North Carolina and North Dakota to Ohio and Wisconsin, we are still standing up for women–and we’re not going to sit down.
And if we keep standing up, if we keep standing with Texas women, and North Carolina women and Ohio women and all women, we WILL win. Let’s show everyone that pro-woman forces are stronger and more fired up than ever.
Can you show your solidarity and commitment to keep fighting by ordering a FREE bumper sticker? The stickers are a fun–bright orange to evoke the inspiration of Texas–and meaningful way to create visibility for the nationwide movement of people who will fight to protect women’s rights. And we’ll send one for FREE to anyone who wants one. Check it out below and sign up to get your sticker.
Images are powerful. Think of green fingers in Iran during the 2009 election, yellow ribbons for soldiers deployed to war, or spreading the red equal sign on Facebook for same sex marriage. They show solidarity in a simple, effective way. You can put the sticker on your car, on your laptop, on your iPad or in your window. It’ll be hard to miss.
We need to make sure we carry momentum forward from the events in Texas. Conservative lawmakers won’t stand down easily, and we need to show them women are mobilized, organized, and ready to fight back.
Get your free sticker today, and share this with all your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and by email. The more of us that show solidarity, the more power we have.
Thanks for speaking out,
